Welcome to the Lake Taupo Regions New Years Eve Concert website and home of the More FM Summer Series 2009

The NYE concert format was established in 2004 to both welcome in the new year and as a special and spectacular thank you to everyone involved in the Taupo regions event industry. From the much lauded hard working volunteers to the participants, spectators, officials, marshals, land owners, stakeholders and general public who are gracious in their support of what has become the Event Capital of New Zealand.

This New Year we are coming home with our line up and showcasing two of Taupo's best covers bands.

The evenings entertainment kicks off at 8pm with Remedy performing two sets to get the night up and pumping.

At 10pm Zeero take the stage on through to midnight with a range of great covers your guaranteed to know and want to dance to.

The countdown brings everyone back on stage to welcome the New Year with a brilliant display of fireworks. The New Year is definitely off to a spectacular start.

Food and drink will be available to purchase at the venue for both NYE and the More FM Summer Series, with the addition of wine by the glass available only at the More FM Summer Series.

The More FM Summer Series which was successfully launched last year is set to be repeated with an expanded two month format allowing us to widen the genre showcased with something to appeal to everyone.

From the beginning of January through to the end of February we will be bringing you a series of entertainment packages designed to round off your weekend with sunshine, picnic's, wine, music and movies.

In 2009 we are moving the start time to 5pm to allow you time to get off the Lake, get that picnic sorted and come join us on the grass. We have lifted the liquor ban because wine goes with picnic's right?

As with the NYE concert it's all family, all safe, all fun and all on us, yes the whole two month series is free!
